Can a 40-Foot Container Reach Your Warehouse?

Check whether a truck carrying a 40-foot container can clear the approach, turn through the gate and position safely at a warehouse dock.

Confirm the complete vehicle dimensions

Ask your carrier for the loaded combination’s overall length, width, height and turning envelope. Include the tractor and trailer in your assessment. Have the operator check turns, slopes and overhead obstructions along the approved route. Ask a qualified specialist to assess uncertain clearances or swept paths before dispatch.

Check the gate and dock together

On the site plan, trace entry, queuing, reversing, dock alignment and exit. Confirm where a second truck can wait while the first reverses. Arrange any physical trial with the site operator and carrier using an agreed vehicle, route, time and supervised yard procedure.
