Warehouse Relocation Planning: How to Avoid Dispatch Delays

Set the move date around the customer orders that must keep shipping. Identify the stock needed at both sites while inventory, equipment and systems are transferred.

Move in stages and test before switching

Set up racking, labels, network access and scanners at the new site. Run a test receipt and dispatch, then transfer inventory in batches and reconcile quantities after each batch.

Agree who can pause the switch if there is a stock mismatch or a carrier problem. Keep an overlap plan for critical orders until the new site can handle a full shift.

For base-rent benchmarks and worked examples, see Warehouse Rent in Sriperumbudur and Oragadam.

Move in phases while protecting factory deliveries

Run a pilot shipment from the new site, then move slow stock before critical inventory. Keep enough buffer at the old site for committed factory deliveries. Switch each customer only after stock and scan records reconcile.

If you’re planning a site visit in the corridor, you can apply these checks at Mansi Industrial Park.
