Inspect the building with the landlord
Walk the roof drainage points, floor joints, dock doors and yard. Have the relevant specialists check utilities and review the records for systems that must be commissioned. Photograph defects and record meter readings.
Create a dated list of outstanding items with an owner and completion date. Record which items prevent occupation and align the handover record with the agreed rent commencement terms.
